  1. Does KeepAnEye work with any browser or operating system?
    KeepAnEye works with any recent browser or operating system: anything that runs an up-to-date version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera or IE ≥ 7.
  2. How accurate is KeepAnEye?
    Notifications are subject to network conditions. When some event occurs on your computer, your browser asks our server which asks Apple to send you a push notification. That's how push notifications work. None of our beta testers complained about delays. Alerts should pop-up on your iPhone or Android in less than a couple of seconds. Try it for yourself!
  3. Which sensors are monitored by KeepAnEye?
    Those indicated on the monitoring page: keyboard, mouse, browser in front-most window, network and sudden motion (if supported by your computer and browser).
  4. Why is sensor "computer tilted" not working?
    Sudden motion only works on Chrome and Firefox browsers with compatible laptops. This includes most Macbook and Macbook Pro models, as well as some PCs. Try using one of the compatible browsers and check if this sensor is supported by your laptop.
  5. The event "Network Lost" is always a bit delayed. Why?
    While in a monitoring state, your computer sends us "I'm alive" packets. If we don't "hear" from your computer for more than a few seconds, we'll notify you.
  6. Why am I receiving a lot of "Network Connection Lost" events?
    Your computer is most likely connected to a very slow network or has poor wifi signal.
  7. Why am I not receiving events without having to manually refresh the list?
    Make sure that push notifications are being delivered to you. Do other programs that rely on push notifications, such that Facebook Chat, work fine when they are closed?
  8. Why do I need to keep my browser open?
    While in a monitoring state, your browser keeps us informed of any relevant event that might occur.
  9. Why KeepAnEye does not work when screen saver is active?
    Because your browser is no longer the front-most window and stops sending us information regarding relevant events. Please disable screen savers before using KeepAnEye.
  10. I have an Android phone. Can I use KeepAnEye?
    You will, very soon. Check www.keepaneye.mobi for updates or email us at mail@keepaneye.mobi and we'll let you know as soon as the app becomes available.
  11. Am I required to subscribe an internet data plan from my carrier?
    A data plan is strongly recommended. However, if your iPhone or Android is connected to a wifi network which does not block push notification, KeepAnEye should work as well. Alternatively, you may manually refresh the list of events.
  12. I can't find an answer to my question here. How can I obtain support?
